Dahl Brothers Canada Limited was first incorporated in 1952 as a wholesale “master distributor” of valves and others plumbing products sourced from a variety of manufacturers.

Trygve Husebye purchased the company in 1960, intending to transform it into a manufacturer focused on valves for plumbing and heating & cooling applications. Mr. Husebye, however, had special aspirations for Dahl Brothers Canada Limited. His goal was to design and manufacture valves, with quality unmatched by any other manufacturer, and provide contractors with the very best solutions for their needs.


The second generation: Trygve Husebye’s daughter, President Jannike Godfrey and son, Vice President Sales Thomas Husebye.

Today, a second generation of the Husebye family is committed to maintaining the same standards that were set over 50 years ago. The company’s philosophy is that the premium quality of every Dahl valve and pipe hanging product is a promise we make, and a promise we must keep, to all of our customers. Quality products and quality service are our #1 priority.

The Dahl commitment to premium quality is reflected in the facts that we design, engineer and manufacture every product we sell in our Canadian facilities, and we source almost all of our raw materials from the United States or Canada. Because we are nearly “100% North American”, we have a tremendous degree of control over product quality and on time delivery to customers, even on “next day” orders.

And we prove that our philosophy is reality, by backing every valve we make with a 25-year warranty, the industry’s best warranty by far!
